As 2025 comes to a close, we are looking back on the remarkable year it has been for NRV Tree Guy and the tree services industry in general. We’re grateful to be a household name for Radford tree services and don’t take that honor lightly, seeking to keep our reputation of quality, honesty, and clean work upheld in every customer experience.
While your family is getting ready to cut the turkey, we’ll continue to be busy cutting down trees (but poultry will make even us pause for a day). Aside from Thanksgiving, we’re dubbing November 2025 as Treesgiving as we reflect on what makes us thankful.

Given that we’re a Radford tree services company, how could we not show our thanks and appreciation for the absolutely gorgeous Southwest Virginia region we’re lucky to call home? Surrounding yourself with trees inspires you to take in the natural beauty around you and to appreciate it. It almost makes you feel bad about cutting some trees down (not really; it’s too much fun!).
With the abundance of maples, oaks, and poplars that begin to show off their Fall colors during this time of year, we’re thankful that we never have to go far to have our breath taken by nature.
It’s In Our Roots, And Our Equipment
As NRV Tree Guy has blossomed and deepened its roots across the New River Valley, we’ve been fortunate to upgrade our arsenal to take on a wider variety of tree care jobs. We went from starting with the basics of chainsaws, pole saws, and pruners to now sporting our trusty wood chipper, stump grinder, skid steer, and bucket truck!
It all goes into what makes us the most trusted quality Radford tree services company, and for that, we’re thankful!

Another thing we love about what we do? The adrenaline rush! Nothing gives you a quick jolt like scaling an 80-foot tree, all while balancing on swaying limbs and cutting with precision. And of course, you cannot beat the thrill of hearing the crack and watching tons of wood fall exactly where you planned, followed by a feeling that is literally ground-shaking!
Being an expert in tree services for the New River Valley requires ropes, pulleys, and a grasp of physics to drop massive limbs with surgical accuracy; it is anything but a guessing game! So the satisfaction of taking down your giants is what wakes us up in the morning and makes us enormously thankful.
